Grown Ups Hollywood Movie Picture

Grown Ups – English Movie Review :
Hollywood movie online Trailer movie review movie story Watch Free Movie Online and Download Free Wallpaper . There’s a new movie coming out, Grown-Ups. Now, no progressive could fail to be thrilled that it will star the comedy stylings of not only noted empath and sensitive comedian Adam Sandler, but also such nuanced and capable actors as Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider. With a cast like that, how could it fail to be a piece of awe-inspiring beauty, of heart-rending insight into the human condition?

Really, I just want to congratulate the director, Dennis Dugan, for assembling this talented ensemble to examine an area of human life which is critically under-examined in modern popular culture: the man-child, and his bromantic relations. This is a sincere, innovative and ultimately uplifting story about five men who behave like children, when freed of the horrid adult-conforming lifestyle which would be forced upon them by humourless bitches, as so often happens.

I’m sure some pedantic, humourless feminist “film reviewer” will come along to pan this wonderful film, imposing her hairy-legged man-hating agenda, insisting that there are enough movies about this topic already. Nonsense, I say, NONSENSE! What the world needs is more movies about (white hetero cis currently abled) men (and a sassy Black friend, how post-racial is that, am I rite, bros?), as this is obviously an area which is chronically ignored in our ultra-feminized, post-racial culture.

I urge everyone to camp out to see this movie the instant it opens. In fact, I think we should have a write-in campaign to make them release the movie at midnight of the Thursday, so we don’t have to wait all the way to Friday night for it.

As everyone knows, the Panic Manual loves free things. In fact, I’d be hardpressed to identify anything we enjoy more. So even though I wasn’t that keen on the idea of going to a  free sneak-preview of Grown-Ups last night with a friend, I went anyway. How bad could it be? I remember Adam Sandler being funny enough back in the day. Chanukah song was pretty good in a three minute format…and um, Chris Rock is still OK.

Nothing could’ve prepared me for how bad this was going to be.

If this is what resembles passable entertainment, I fear for the masses. The story is nauseatingly familiar enough. Five childhood friends have a reunion when their beloved basketball coach dies, prompting a reignited rivalry with five other childhood friends who disputed a championship game. It’s pretty much a hodgepodge of every stupid Disney summer camp, buddy picture, and braindead family movie you can imagine. A series of the stupidest cliches imaginable made this an experience so painful, I began texting folks during the middle of the screening. I secretly hissed at people who had the gall to “aww” any “tender” family moments shared between this group of morons and their children.

  • Adam Sandler, Selma Hayek, their two sons and one daughter represent the protaganist family A.K.A. the “Joe Hollywood” stereotype
  • Kevin James, Maria Bello, their daughter and song represent the “white trash” family
  • Chris Rock, Maya Rudolph, their daughter and two songs represent the “black house husband” family
  • David Spade is the bachelor for life
  • Rob Schneider, Joyce Van Patten and Rob’s two daughters represent the “Jerry Springer” family

What ensues is a series of chunder-mile* moments. The magic of reuniting at this lake suddenly transforms everyone to realize the err of their ways and do a complete 180 with themselves and their families, which just illustrates everything that I can’t stand about a bad Hollywood movie. Cardboard characters who are so one-dimensional. Neat little package endings. DUMB fart jokes. Even stupider boob jokes. And this will undoubtedly be the number 1 movie when the Box Office tallies at the end of next week, attracting the same folks who thought Paul Blart: Mall Cop was “funny”. Anyone who thinks Paul Blart: Mall Cop warranted the expenditure of $11 should probably be sterilized.

This movie was so stupid an entire kilo of reefer wouldn’t get me to change my mind about it.

Sure, Selma Hayek’s stripper implants looked good, but you can stay home and Google “implants” if that’s all you’re after.
